There is significant variation in R&I performance among EU member states. This disparity is also evident in varying degrees of involvement in the framework programs, where financial allocation is predicated on excellence. The TWIN SYNERGIES project seeks to enhance the EU strategy framework by fostering synergies at both operational and governance levels, focusing on the Upstream synergies mode—Human resources development and Internationalisation. The TWIN SYNERGIES project, comprising nine partners from four Widening countries and one EU Member State, will, over a 24-month period, devise and implement upstream-compatible, customized, yet transferable activities aimed at capacity building, internationalization, human resource development, collaboration, valorization, and technology adoption, with an emphasis on current advancements in the Green and Digital transition.
