Project Factory in Motion!
In just 16 months of the Twin Synergies project, the project partners have successfully submitted 26 EU-funded project proposals targeting the green and digital transition.
Throughout the project, partners participated in training focused on writing proposals for European programmes, especially Horizon Europe. These enhanced skills have led to a remarkable increase in project submissions.
Three partners – Razvojni center Novo Mesto, MSIC Ostrava, and VŠB-TUO– submitted proposals to the Digital Europe Programme and are actively developing their local European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs).
For example, EDIH Ostrava offers a comprehensive portfolio of services in:
· Ecosystem building and networking
· Test-before-invest support for advanced technologies
· Digital readiness and skills development
· Business consulting and access to finance
The hub serves as a gateway to the European AI innovation ecosystem, connecting SMEs to local and EU-level resources in AI and high-performance computing.
Several proposals also focus on Artificial Intelligence, such as the Slovenian AI Factory (SLAIF) with the Faculty of Information Studies in Novo Mesto, and the Czech AI Factory with IT4Innovations VŠB-TUO.
A collaborative Horizon Europe proposal led by the University of Craiova is also in preparation, aiming to develop Virtual Power Plants for Excellence and foster Green & Digital Ecosystems.
