Twin Synergies Presented at the DTC Coffee Kitchen

On 23 September 2025, the DTC Network Coffee Kitchen took place online, bringing together experts, researchers, and practitioners from across the Danube Region.

The agenda featured a rich variety of presentations, from innovation centers to European funding opportunities. A key highlight was the contribution of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erika D. Uršič (Faculty of Information Studies, Slovenia), who presented the Twin Synergies project: Driving Innovation. Bridging Regions. Powering Europe’s Green & Digital Future



Her presentation introduced the project’s mission to strengthen synergies across EU funding instruments, empower research and innovation actors in Widening countries, and foster sustainable socio-economic development through advanced technologies and strategic partnerships.


Other highlights included:

  • GIS-TransferCenter (Bulgarian Academy of Sciences) introducing their innovation activities.

  • The MIRACle Center of Competence showcasing mechatronics and clean technologies.

  • Mirjam Zillober presenting the 3rd Interreg Danube Region call (open until 15 December 2025).

  • Željka Kelkedi introducing the project Knowhow Communities for Accelerating RTI Transfer.

The Coffee Kitchen continues to provide an excellent platform for collaboration, and Twin Synergies is proud to contribute to advancing green and digital innovation across Europe.
